Paintings - Sorry, all my titles are so repetitive! Next time, an interesting one, I promise :)

Some stuff I finished over the last week.
I've been experimenting with different colour schemes and trying to figure out how to get things to harmonize. Here are two paintings I did over the weekend, one quite desaturated and one overly saturated, hoping to find a way to balance everything out.
I've also been really interested in that inked, kind of graphic, look lately and have been trying - with little success -  to mimic it on the computer. Gonna keep on going at it and hopefully one day it'll look decent.

  1. Woah, that first painting. There's complementary contrast, a sense of scale, atmospheric perspective, actual perspective. Have you ever heard of Zdzislaw Beksinski? Are you channeling him? Have you consorted with devils recently? Witches, wild folk, strange men with dark garb and obscured faces?

In all seriousness though, that's a striking piece of work, nice job!

  2. The first one looks really nice Izzy. Interesting perspective and the colors work very well together. I can feel the atmosphere of it too, make me want to see what's on the other side. Keep posting more!
